from The Jildo
Review by: Wldfire
Hello there my friends, I have been asked to review a unique product called the Jildo. It is a beautifully constructed wooden adult toy, handcrafted with care by a great craftsperson named Jilda. She has many different kinds in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and types of wood. The one sent to me for review is her All Beads in American Cherry wood, which I must say is just wonderful looking.
Before I go too much more deeper into my personal review of the Jildo, let me post info about the Jildo, as found on her site, as there is no better way to explain things then from the person who makes them.

“Each Jildo is:
- Hand crafted from exotic woods
- Naturally warm and silky smooth
- Art you can proudly display by your bedside
- All Woodpeckers are handmade with pleasure … for your pleasure
- Guaranteed Safe - we use hypo-allergenic, food safe finish. Absolutely splinter-proof
- Guaranteed Unique - You will NEVER find another Jildo like mine, no two are ever exactually alike
My dildos are made from the finest exotic and domestic hardwoods. Yes i said WOOD! Dildos actually have a long history of being made from wood, and believe me! I wouldn’t create and USE these if i was going to get splinters!
“My Johntrask is made from Brazilian purple heart” Doesn’t that just sound better than,”I have a rubber dildo?”
Offered here are my most popular styles. Each can be made from a variety of woods, including zebra, purpleheart, cherry, and red (celtic) oak. Because each is turned by hand, each is unique.
I chose my woods carefully, so as to not damage our fragile forests.
It takes nearly a week to create your Jildo. First the wood is shaped with hand tools on the lathe, the “Inner Jildo” is allowed to emerge, so to speak.
Over a dozen steps later, your Jildo has been sanded, smoothed and finished to a glow. We use only pharmacology and food grade finishes, so that your Jildo is safe anywhere.
Your Jildo comes clothed with a hand-crafted sheath of rich velvet, in a variety of colors, royal blue, midnight black, forest green and more.
Care : You won’t want to put one of my dildos in the dishwasher! It is a piece of art, not a utensil! Simply wash with mild soap and dry lovingly with a soft cloth to bring out the sheen.”
Well I simply couldn’t have said it any better then how she worded it. When I received the Jildo in the mail, it was packaged in a plain white box, with a customs tag stating it was a wooden hand crafted product inside. Upon opening the box, I was greeted by something wrapped in a lovely blue velvet sheath, and a wonderful letter from Jilda, explaining more about my Jildo, and its care. I opened the sheath and removed a beautiful wooden object, which struck me at first as a piece of art, just like she mentions.
The Jildo (mine is the All Beads in American Cherry Wood) is just beautiful. The attention to detail on it, is second to none, and the feeling of it, just feels good in the hand, let alone anywhere else. My partner and myself were excited to check the Jildo out more, so headed off to the bedroom, where we could inspect it better. Being new to using a dildo made of wood, we were not sure what to think of it, but we quickly got into the swing of things. It works wonderfully on the outside of the genitalia, with its bead shapes stimulating everything it touched. Upon insertion we discovered that it really can reach those fun spots and stimulate many areas at once, quickly bringing my partner to an orgasm.
The Jildo is definitely a toy that we have grown to really love, as it has so many sides to it. You can use it to just roll over the body, giving a wonderful massage, you can lightly tap with it for a more stimulating massage. It works incredibly on the outside and inside of the genetalia, and just fits the body perfectly.
The Jildo is not a cheap throw away toy though, it is a hand crafted product that is made with great care and love, and it shows in every part. While the price may make you go wow! That's quite a bit, it is not some piece of junk product, and will last for many many years to come, as there is nothing to wear out in it. Prices start at $99.00 USD for a whimsie, which experiments with different shapes and styles that she makes, to $149.00 US for her standard Stock Jildo, available in many different shapes, styles, lengths, and types of wood.
I’m sure i have gotten your attention with the Jildo, so why not pop over to her page and have a look for yourself! Tell her Wldfire sent you!
